We Did It!

Thank You. Thank You. Thank You

In the event you didn't get the word yet, there's good, very good, news. The third day of our Arc Radiothon Sneak Preview put us over the top. Thanks to your very generous contributions we will be sending 12 youngsters with developmental disabilities to Camp Warren this summer. You guys are the greatest!

As I write this, Deirdre is into hour #7 on the Radiothon from Hackettstown Ford. They are still pretty far away from their goal ($45,669) of $65,000. And the 5PM deadline will be here before you know it. Let's hope they make it. We'll try to line-up Kevin Guyette form the ARC of Warren County as one of my guests on Monday morning to look back at the just completed 18th Annual Radiothon.

Lots of "things" going on this weekend. Centenary College has their "Cultural Carnival" on Saturday and they'll begin Earth Week festivities on Sunday. Both events take place on the campus. And Hackettstown Regional Medical Center is hosting Women's Conference at Hawk Point on Route 31 in Washington Saturday morning.

A clothing drive at the Hackettstown Presbyterian Church on Saturday from 10 to 3; Pet Adoption League Bake Sale on Saturday at Sam's Club in the ITC; Boy Scout Troop #157 Washington hosting a spaghetti dinner at the Masonic Lodge on Route 31 Saturday evening from 4 to 7PM; Hackettstown Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary conducting a bus trip to AC on Sunday leaving the Miller Street Firehouse at 8AM and the Church of the Messiah on Route 513 in Chester holding a used bike collection from noon to 3.

Get out there and support these wonderful organizations and have a great weekend.  See you Monday morning at 6.

ARC Radiothon Day #2

Posted by russ | 17 Apr, 2008

Another great morning for our ACR Radiothon "sneak preview." Listeners called in with a total of over $1,200 in pledges. Our two-day total is just a bit over $3,000. As you may remember, I set a goal of $3,500 for our three day "sneak preview" effort. That represents 10 camperships this summer at Camp Warren. Thanks you all of you and your generosity we are closing in on our goal. Help us make it happen tomorrow morning!

Tomorrow's "sneak preview" Radiothon finale gets underway at 6AM and will wrap up at 7:59AM. At 8AM, the 18th Annual ARC Radiothon with host Deirdre Bryant gets underway from Hackettstown Ford. Good luck to Deirdre, Radiothon co-chairs Norman Worth & Jim Travis and all of the V.I.P.s in their efforts to raise a total of $65,000

ARC Radiothon

Well, Day 1 of our ARC Radiothon "sneak preview" is history. As you may know we're leading up to the "official" ARC Radiothon this Friday at 8AM with a daily "sneak preview" today and tomorrow from 6AM to 9AM and on Friday morning from 6AM to 8AM.

It takes $350 to sponsor an individual with developmental disabilities for a week at Camp Warren in Knowlton Township. Our goal is to send at least 10 youngsters to Camp Warren this summer.  Day 1 was extremely gratifying.  Total pledges for Day 1 exceeded $1,800. Thanks to all of you who called in with contributions. We'll be at it again tomorrow morning and, remember, we'll be greatful for your pledge for whatever amount you can afford to give.

Thanks, again.
